Butter Seared Lobster Tails

  • Author: Shirley
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the Lobster Tails:

  • 2 large lobster tails, thawed if frozen
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster Tails

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  2. Split Lobster Tails: Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top of each lobster tail shell down the center to expose the meat. Gently pull the meat out and rest it on top of the shell.

Make the Butter Sauce

  1. Melt Butter: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Add Seasonings: Stir in minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Sear the Lobster Tails

  1. Heat Skillet: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add half of the butter mixture and let it heat.
  2. Sear the Lobster: Place the lobster tails flesh-side down in the skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Baste and Finish: Flip the tails, spoon the remaining butter mixture over the top, and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for an additional 6-8 minutes until the lobster is cooked through and opaque.
