Description

Soft, buttery, and coated in cinnamon sugar, this Cinnamon Donut Bread tastes just like a classic cake donut in loaf form. Perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

• 1 cup granulated sugar

• 2 large eggs

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 cup whole milk

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 tbsp baking powder

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

• 1/4 cup granulated sugar for topping

• 1 tsp ground cinnamon for topping


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.

2. Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.

4. Gradually mix in milk.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

6. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.

7. Pour batter into loaf pan and smooth the top.

8. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon; sprinkle over batter.

9. Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

10. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
