Cottage Cheese Garlic Knots – Fluffy, Cheesy & High-Protein

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup almond flour
  •  1 tsp baking powder
  •  Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp shredded mozzarella or Parmesan (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  •  Make the Dough: In a bowl, combine cottage cheese and egg until smooth. Incorporate almond flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Shape the Knots: Divide the dough into small portions, roll each into a rope shape, and tie them gently into knots. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake: Brush the knots with melted butter. Sprinkle with shredded cheese if desired. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Garnish & Serve: Brush again with melted butter, sprinkle with parsley, and serve warm.
