- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
- 2 tbsp shredded mozzarella or Parmesan (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the Dough: In a bowl, combine cottage cheese and egg until smooth. Incorporate almond flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Shape the Knots: Divide the dough into small portions, roll each into a rope shape, and tie them gently into knots. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Brush the knots with melted butter. Sprinkle with shredded cheese if desired. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Garnish & Serve: Brush again with melted butter, sprinkle with parsley, and serve warm.
