For the Cranberry Brie Sourdough Pull-Apart Bread
- 1 loaf of sourdough bread (round or square)
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 8 oz brie cheese (cut into cubes)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped, optional, for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Bread
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Cut the Sourdough: Using a serrated knife, slice the sourdough bread in a crisscross pattern, cutting both vertically and horizontally. Be careful not to cut all the way through the bottom of the loaf so that the bread holds together. Create small squares that will easily pull apart once baked.
Assemble the Pull-Apart Bread
- Add the Cranberry Sauce: Spoon cranberry sauce into the cracks and crevices of the sourdough bread. Use a spoon or knife to gently press the sauce into the bread so that it fills the gaps.
- Stuff with Brie: Insert the cubed brie into the slits of the bread, ensuring each piece of bread has a piece of creamy brie.
- Brush with Butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the entire loaf, making sure to get it into the cuts for added richness.
- Add Seasoning: Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
Bake the Pull-Apart Bread
- Bake: Place the assembled bread on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden and crispy.
- Optional Honey Drizzle: Once the bread is out of the oven, drizzle honey over the top for a sweet finish (optional).
- Garnish with Rosemary: Garnish with freshly chopped rosemary for an added burst of freshness and festive flair.
Serve
- Cool Slightly: Let the bread cool for a few minutes before serving to avoid burns from the hot melted cheese.
- Pull Apart and Serve: Serve warm and enjoy pulling apart the cheesy, cranberry-filled slices.
