Ingredients
– 1 cup warm water
– 1/2 cup warm milk
– 2¼ tsp instant yeast
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 tbsp sugar
– 1¼ tsp salt
– 3 tbsp softened butter
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine the warm water, warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
2. Add the flour, salt, and softened butter. Mix until well combined.
3. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
5. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it into a greased loaf pan.
6. Allow the loaf to rise again for 30–45 minutes.
7. Score the top of the loaf with diagonal slashes.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown.
9. Let the bread cool completely before slicing.
