  • Author: Shirley

Description

A sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy sauce that pairs perfectly with chicken, sandwiches, fries, and roasted vegetables. This easy homemade Jalapeno Honey Mustard Sauce delivers bold flavor in just minutes.

Ingredients

• 1 tbsp Olive Oil

• 2 medium Jalapenos finely diced, seeds and membranes removed for less heat (or left in for more)

• 1 clove Garlic minced

• 1/2 cup Dijon Mustard

• 1/4 cup Yellow Mustard

• 1/4 cup Honey or more, to taste

• 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

• 1/4 tsp Salt or to taste

• 1/8 tsp Black Pepper freshly ground

• 2 tbsp Water optional, to adjust consistency

Instructions

1. Carefully dice the jalapenos and remove seeds and membranes for less heat if desired. Mince the garlic.

2. Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add diced jalapenos and sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened.

3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant, stirring to prevent burning.

4. Remove from heat and add Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

5. Whisk vigorously until the mixture becomes smooth and fully combined.

6. Return the saucepan to low heat and simmer for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7. If the sauce becomes too thick, whisk in 1–2 tablespoons of water until the desired consistency is reached.

8. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool completely.

9. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then transfer to an airtight container or jar.
