Peppermint Bark Pretzel Bites

  • Author: Shirley
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

Here’s what you’ll need to make Peppermint Bark Pretzel Bites:

  • 2 cups mini pretzels (square or traditional)
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (for smoother chocolate)
  • ¼ cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pretzels:

  1. Arrange the Pretzels: Place the mini pretzels in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. This ensures they won’t stick and makes cleanup easier.
  2. Melt the White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with the vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.

Assemble the Pretzel Bites:

  1. Dip the Pretzels: Using a spoon or fork, dip each pretzel into the melted white chocolate, covering about half of each pretzel. Let any excess chocolate drip off before placing it back on the baking sheet.
  2. Sprinkle with Peppermint: Immediately sprinkle the crushed peppermint candy over the chocolate-covered portion of the pretzel. You can also add holiday sprinkles at this stage for extra flair.
  3. Chill to Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes, or until the white chocolate has fully set and hardened.
