  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Streusel Topping:

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

Prepare the Streusel:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Add the melted butter and mix with a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Set aside to sprinkle on the bread before baking.

Make the Bread Batter:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.

Assemble and Bake:

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  2. Sprinkle the streusel topping over the batter, pressing it lightly to adhere.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
