Instructions
Prepare the Streusel:
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Add the melted butter and mix with a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Set aside to sprinkle on the bread before baking.
Make the Bread Batter:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
Assemble and Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping over the batter, pressing it lightly to adhere.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
