Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:

  1. Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken thighs to the skillet.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Cook the chicken thighs for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Bang Bang Sauce:

  1. Mix the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust the level of heat or sweetness by adding more sriracha or honey if desired.

Finish the Dish:

  1. Coat the Chicken: Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and pour the bang-bang sauce over them. Toss to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce, ensuring the thighs are well-covered.
  2. Simmer: Let the chicken cook in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve:

  1. Garnish and Serve: Transfer the chicken thighs to a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately.
