    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Optional Topping

    • Vanilla ice cream

    • A sprinkle of cinnamon or powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the banana filling
In a mixing bowl, combine sliced bananas, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, melted butter, and lemon juice. Stir gently to coat the bananas.
  3. Make the cobbler batter
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and mix until smooth.
  4. Assemble the cobbler
Pour the melted butter into a baking dish. Pour the batter over the butter without stirring. Spoon the banana mixture evenly over the batter.
  5. Bake
Bake for 35–40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is bubbling around the edges.
  6. Serve
Let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the best flavor
