Description
A smooth, creamy green salsa inspired by classic taco shop flavors. This Taqueria Style Jalapeno Salsa is quick, bold, and perfect for tacos, chips, or grilled meats.
Ingredients
• 6 Jalapenos
• 1/4 Onion, chopped in 1″ pieces
• 1 1/2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
• Seasoning (to taste)
• 1/2 tablespoon Salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 squeeze Lime
Instructions
1. Boil the jalapenos and onion for 10 minutes until softened.
2. Once they are softened, drain the jalapenos and cut off the stems.
3. Put the onions, jalapeño, and seasoning in a blender, add a tiny bit of the boiling liquid.
4. Add the oil, squeeze of lime, and puree the salsa until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
