- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional if beef is lean)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1–2 tbsp tomato paste (makes it richer)
- Optional: 2–3 tbsp water or beef broth (helps seasoning coat beef)
