- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened

- ¼ cup granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- ½ cup strawberry pie filling or chopped fresh strawberries

- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

- Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.
Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square. Add a small spoonful of strawberry filling on top.
Fold the pastry diagonally to create a triangle. Press the edges together and seal with a fork.
Brush the tops with the beaten egg to help them bake to a beautiful golden color.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
Let the turnovers cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
