Philly Cheese Steak Casserole – Keto & Budget-Friendly!

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or thinly sliced beef)
  • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1½ cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for cooking)

  1. Preheat the oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook the beef
    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add vegetables
    Add sliced onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
  4. Season
    Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Make it creamy
    Lower the heat and add the cream cheese. Stir until fully melted and combined with the beef mixture.
  6. Assemble the casserole
    Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly.
  7. Add cheese topping
    Sprinkle provolone and mozzarella evenly over the top.
  8. Bake
    Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
  9. Serve
    Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy hot!
